Lash Lift- What is it?
Lash lift, in a sense, is a modification or a bettered version of lash perm. It is just like you wake up in the morning and you see your curled eyelashes having a coat of mascara. Sounds amazing, right? but this is very much possible with lash lift.
As mentioned earlier, lash lift can be simply termed as a perm for your eyelashes. However, it is pretty much different from your traditional lash extension because it alters the colour and shape of your natural eyelashes.
Most of the times, or in most people, eyelashes grow out (in a straight dimension) rather than growing up and it does not need special mentioning that eyelashes with upward growth always look beautiful and eye-catching.
The lash lift is done in different ways or with different procedures on the basis of chemicals used. However, the two most commonly used methods are:
- • Keratin Lash Lift
- • Non-Keratin Lash Lift
In a keratin lash lift, the beauticians add more protein. On the other hand, non-keratin lash lift works on a different method, i.e, the eyelashes are rolled in an upward direction and then similar chemicals (used for traditional hair perms) are used to set in the eyelashes. Moreover, there are some other procedures for the lash lift that are similar to perms for your lashes, I.e a solution with higher pH is used in those procedures.
Another good thing about the lash lift is that its result can last longer. In fact, it can last for six to eight weeks.
